About
Qualified in Yoga teaching, Mindfulness coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & Nutrition, my approach to healing from burnout is holistic one - that is the foundation of how I support people, I strongly believe in an multi-faceted approach when it comes to health.
My own journey is what allows me to be have unmatched empathy for you & the hardship you face when struggling with burnout, low energy & a poor relationship with body.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome after a virus left me bedbound & unable to shower without support. Like many of you, I had been living life in an unsustainable way prior to this diagnosis (although I didn't realise it at the time).
 Previously I had been living in survival mode, very active & 'hard working' (living the hustle culture dream) … so my life quickly began to feel like a living nightmare. I lost my sense of self & purpose in the world, which had always been external. I was reliant on others to do everything for me, I had to drop out of university & I couldn’t move my body without pain or exhaustion.
For my whole adult life (& younger years) I had been treating my body like a machine, I ignored the warning signs, repressing emotions, struggled with an eating disorder, overexercised, & glorified burning out/always being 'the busy one' which I had mistaken for being successful.
The virus was the trigger…but I know this had been bubbling under the surface for years.
Utilising a combination of yoga therapy, CBT, Acceptance & commitment therapy & mindfulness (& time), I eventually reached a point of feeling fully recovered.
I no longer experience chronic symptoms & have gone on to train as a holistic health practitioner supporting 00's of others on their journey.
As well as perusing other passions including travelling, hand standing, climbing, surfing & spending A LOT of time in coffee shops writing & reading.Â
I hope my experience inspires you to realise restoring your health is possible & every situation can be improved upon.Â
Today I am very proud to run The Sky Coaching Method; a 1-1 coaching service available worldwide to support others in healing from burnout...sustainably!
